Day 1: Arrival in Kigali and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park – Rwanda

Your safari begins with a warm welcome in Kigali, the clean and vibrant capital of Rwanda. After a short briefing from your Rashfa Tracking Safaris guide, embark on a scenic drive to Volcanoes National Park, home to the rare golden monkeys and the famous mountain gorillas.
Along the way, enjoy the breathtaking views of Rwanda’s rolling hills, small towns, and rich culture.

Day 2: Golden Monkey Tracking and Transfer to Bwindi – Uganda

After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing about golden monkey tracking. These playful and curious primates are a delight to watch as they swing through the bamboo forests of Volcanoes National Park.
Spend about an hour observing and photographing them before returning to your lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, cross into Uganda through the Cyanika border, heading toward Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, the home of more than half of the world’s mountain gorilla population.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Today is the highlight of your safari! After an early breakfast, head to the Bwindi park offices for a gorilla trekking briefing. With your guide and park rangers, venture deep into the misty rainforest in search of a mountain gorilla family.
The trek can take from 2 to 6 hours depending on the gorillas’ movements, but the moment you encounter them is truly magical. Watch them feed, groom, and play — an unforgettable wildlife experience with Rashfa Tracking Safaris.
After your trek, return to the lodge for relaxation or an optional community walk to meet the Batwa people.
