In the afternoon, visit the nearby Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a community-run project rich in birdlife, monkeys, and cultural experiences. Enjoy dinner at your lodge surrounded by the sounds of the forest.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi – A Lifetime Encounter
Today is the highlight of your trip! After a briefing at the park headquarters, set off on your gorilla trekking adventure. The trek may take 2–6 hours depending on the gorilla family’s movement, but every moment is rewarding.
When you finally meet these gentle giants, it’s an awe-inspiring experience watching them feed, groom, and play in the dense jungle. After your trek, visit a Batwa cultural community to learn about the forest’s original inhabitants.

Day 5: Bwindi to Kigali – The Thousand Hills Journey
After breakfast, say goodbye to Uganda’s lush forests and embark on a scenic drive to Kigali, Rwanda through the rolling hills and terraced countryside that give Rwanda its nickname, “the Land of a Thousand Hills.”
Stop at the Rwanda-Uganda border (Gatuna or Cyanika) for immigration, then continue to Kigali for a city tour. Visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial, local markets, and craft shops before being dropped at your hotel or the airport.
