There are different categories of tourists in Rwanda and they all pay different prices for a gorilla permit  as arranged by Rwanda Development Board.

 

Foreign Non Residents (FNR) pay the highest gorilla trekking price of $1,500 per person per gorilla trekking in Rwanda

These are non-Africans and don’t work permanently or live in Rwanda

 

Foreign Residents (FR) pay $500 per person as the gorilla trekking price  in Rwanda

These are foreigners from other continents apart from Africa working and living in Rwanda

 

Africans pay $500 per person as the  gorilla trekking price  in Rwanda

These are African people coming from the rest of Africa apart from East African Community member state

 

Rwandan East Africans pay $200 per person per gorilla trekking in Rwanda

Uganda boasts diverse ecosystems, including dense rainforests where mountain gorillas thrive. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park are the two main gorilla trekking destinations in Uganda.
